About Empire

Heritage:

Back in 2007, Simon Dumont found himself sitting around his home resort of Sunday River with childhood friend Jake Largess contemplating the nature of the glove industry.  After some discussion, they realized that no glove company in that day was succeeding at meeting the rigorous performance requirements of guys like Simon that spend more days on the slopes than off, while encompassing the styles and trends that he felt were being represented everywhere in the industry except for the glove market.  Thus was born Empire Attire.

After gaining the support of such prominent athletes as Sarah Burke,Jossi Wells, Peter Olenick, Gus Kenworthy and Henrik Harlaut, he knew he had the knowledge base, diversity and necessary skill sets to create a glove that met those requirements.

Today Empire Attire stays truer than ever to the core roots that it was founded on: “By the Athletes, for the Athletes.”  When we’re at the drawing board putting together next year’s glove line, we’re there with the athletes. And when it comes to testing materials and design, there’s no better tester than a team of full time, year round expert skiers.

To be a company that is made by the ATHLETES for the ATHLETES. From the material, performance, and design of our products EMPIRE will be the brand to provide what the ATHLETES and consumers want, not what the industry suggests.
