Empire sweeps the podium at Dew Tour Pipe

The empire team went 1,2, and 3 this past weekend at the second stop of the Dew Tour in Snowbasin, Utah. Jossi Wells continued his strong pipe skiing and took the win. Jossi followed up his 2nd place result in Breck with the win and is now in the lead for the overall dew tour pipe championship.

Simon got back on track with a 2nd place finish at this stop. Simon skied well all week long and is looking very strong going into X-games next week. I think he has some new tricks up his sleeve he is saving for x-games so he can get that gold medal back that he wants so bad.

Peter Olenick finally skied like everyone knows he can and came away with a 3rd place finish. Peter crashed hard on his double alley-oop during practice but was able to come back and stomp it in his second run which put him on the podium. Peter has been training super hard all fall and you can see that all his hard work is paying off for him. I have a feeling this isn’t the last time we will see Peter on the podium this year.

Make sure to tune into the Winter X-games next week as the empire team will be there competing in slope-style, pipe, and big air. Hopefully x-games week will be as successfully as this past weekend was in Snowbasin.

    Simon’s Toyota Tricktopsy

Check out the video of Simon explaining how to do a 900 in the half-pipe. This little clip was something he filmed for Toyota for the first stop of Dew Tour in Breckenridge, CO. Watch and enjoy on how to do a 900 in the half-pipe from one of the best pipe skiers in the world.

    Gus Kenworthy’s 08/09 season

Check out the edit from our am team rider Gus Kenworthy  that he just sent over from his 08/09 season.

Jossi comes back to the pipe with a 2nd place finish

Jossi Wells showed that he hasn’t forgotten how to ski pipe with his 2nd place finish this past weekend at the first stop of the Dew Tour. Jossi came out swinging and stomped his double on his first run, which landing him in first place after run number one.

After missing the finals for slopestyle earlier in the day Jossi came out and showed that he didn’t want to walk away without a medal. Jossi landed his first ever double in a comp. run. Jossi also added a right seven and a sick switch nine siftey. to end his run.

Jossi is on a misson this year to get a lot of good pipe results as he didn’t get to ski much pipe last year. Make sure to check out Jossi and the rest of the empire team at the next Dew Tour stop in Utah.
